We are looking for individuals who are passionate about Wondermore's mission and want to support Wondermore by becoming board members.
Wondermore is a nonprofit that cultivates children’s curiosity, creativity, and academic achievement by igniting a love of good books. We do this by bringing acclaimed children’s authors and illustrators into underserved K-8 public schools for curriculum-aligned visits and writing workshops.
The Board supports Wondermore’s work and provides mission-based leadership and strategic governance.
The full board meets 5x/year. Working committees meet between board meeting to assist the staff with the development and implementation of Wondermore's strategic plan.
We expect all board members to serve as ambassadors for Wondermore in their community and to make an annual contribution that is commensurate with their capacity. All board terms are 3 years.
