Help oversee the care and socialization of the cats and kittens in the Adoption Condo at the Petvalu in Ashburn. Spend time playing with and socializing the cats and kittens while also making sure they have a clean and happy environment.

Choose one or more available shifts to help care for the cats (2 shifts a day). Clean the litter box and the condo cage, refill food and water bowls, then have fun playing, snuggling, and socializing with the cats and kittens. We ask that interested volunteers be willing to make a commitment of 6-12 months with this position.

Description

HSLC has been helping animals since our founding in 1966. HSLC has no paid staff nor a physical facility or shelter; all of our animals are in foster homes, display cages at local pet stores, or in temporary boarding until they are adopted into their furever homes.

Thanks to our volunteers and community support, HSLC helped thousands of animals in 2023:

  • Nearly 200 cats and dogs fostered
  • Over 200 community cats supported
  • Nearly 6,000 animals fed via the Loudoun Pet Pantry
