Matthew's Place serves as an advocate for the relief of the poor, homeless and disadvantaged by providing comprehensive recovery services. We serve the least of these......

We are seeking a volunteer to teach a Job readiness class bi-weekly for a time period of forty-five minutes to an hour.

The volunteer must have a background of assisting with resume building, completing job applications,interviewing techniques, preparing cover and thank you letters, effective job seeking skills and work place expectations, i.e. reliability, filling out paperwork and getting along with others.

The population we serve are persons who were previously homeless and are now living in a transitional housing program. The majority of the clients have no income or a very limited income with the exception of a few person who work. They have very limited knowledge of finance.

Antioch Urban Ministries Inc, d/b/a Matthew's Place is located within The Vilages of Castleberry Hills an upscale apartment community located within Metro Atlanta. Matthew's Place provides long-term transitional housing, facilitates substance abuse and comprehensive supportive services for persons living with chronic illnesses. Matthew's Place has the capability to house up to sixteen persons.
