The Compassionate Connected Care volunteer will bridge the gap between patients and staff and provide a higher level of service by assisting with minor patient needs. They will offer a caring presence to patients and inspire hope by visiting/reminiscing with patients, assisting with diversional but meaningful activities such as reading, crossword puzzles, and games, and assisting unit staff by answering call lights, making patient rounds, stocking supplies, etc.
