Join Reach the World’s 2017 Benefit Committee!
Reach the World is a New York City-based nonprofit organization that makes the benefits of travel accessible to classrooms, inspiring students to become curious, confident global citizens.
Every year since 2001, Reach the World has held an annual benefit to fundraise for the organization. The guest count is typically between 150 and 200 guests from diverse New York City and Connecticut-based industries. The event includes cocktails, a silent auction, a sit-down dinner, and an award presentation at the end of the evening. This year's Cronkite Award will be given to the most prominent honoree in RTW's history - stay tuned for the big reveal!
The success of Reach the World's events are entirely dependent on the volunteer Benefit Committee members whose work and creativity make the event possible. Volunteering for RTW is a substantive way to gain event experience, network with other NYC professionals, and give back to a good cause.
Reach the World welcomes all serious applicants to the 2017 event committee. The 2017 benefit will take place in March 2017 at the Boathouse in Central Park!
The committee will meet at Reach the World's downtown or midtown office weekly in the evening, starting January. In addition, the committee will host team-building activities throughout the season. Applicants must commit to attending meetings and networking with other committee members.
Applications are competitive; incomplete applications will not be considered. Thank you for your volunteer spirit and desire to help ensure that all youth have access to global experiences that prepare them for college and careers in the 21st Century!
