This program incorporates two programs offering reassurance for homebound, isolated seniors. KISS (Keeping Independent Seniors Safe) offers the senior client a friendly telephone call one to five times per week. Our other program is the Silver Companions program offering senior clients a smiling face one or two times per week.
Volunteers create their own schedule and may be able to volunteer from home. Volunteers must join Human Development Commssion's RSVP program to serve. We are currently accepting volunteers in Huron, Sanilac and Tuscola Counties. RSVP requires volunteers to be at least 55 years old and pass a criminal history background check. Volunteers may contact by email to kristya@hdc-caro.org or call Human Development Commission at 989-673-4121.
