Join us as we honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. by potting trees in our native tree nursery. Dr. King urged everyone to make this country a better place through community action. The trees that you help prepare for our restoration sites will clean the air and water for our community and wildlife for years into the future. The critical work we do that morning lays the foundation for us to restore hundreds of acres of habitat in the months ahead!
As with all of our activities, training, snacks, and tools are provided. We will be under tents but outdoors, so dress for the weather. Bring gloves if you have them, but we’ll have extras. Sign up online so we know how many people to expect!

Mission Statement
Clark Public Utilities' StreamTeam Program is committed to preserving a healthy environment we can enjoy and pass on to future generations.
The CPU StreamTeam's mission is to rehabilitate, restore and enhance salmon habitat and water quality conditions for all residents of Clark County while increasing the awareness of community members.
Description
The StreamTeam program is a volunteer based stream restoration and environmental education program of Clark Public Utilities. The StreamTeam completes projects that include native tree plantings, environmental education, water quality monitoring and maintenance of our restored sites.
In addition to our restoration opportunities, we also have an extensive watershed education program that includes service learning outings and the Stream Stewards program. The Stream Stewards program is a learn-n-serve program which provides 45 hours of hands-on watershed education ranging from hydrology and geology to native plants and stream ecology in exchange for 45 hours of volunteer time. Not only is the StreamTeam committed to bringing salmon back to Salmon Creek but to facilitating meaningful, hands-on experiences in our community.
