Lady Butterflies is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization specializing in social supportive services for women and teen girls in transition. We operate in both Columbus, OH (since February 2010) and Atlanta, GA (since January 2016) servicing individuals and families residing in all Counties. We are a growing and progressive community charitable organization dedicated to empowering, enriching lives, promoting personal growth and development by providing professionally competent and personally compassionate services for women, teen girls, their families, and the community. We are a 'help center’ for women and teen girls.

***While our primary focus is on women/teen girls, we do provide some services to all individuals and families.

We are looking to fill our Board Member positions in Atlanta, GA. We are looking for a Diverse Board - men and women of all races strongly encouraged to apply:

Effective April 2024 - March 2026:

President

Vice President

Budget Officer (Treasurer)

Executive Administrator (Secretary)

Education & Community Outreach Officer

Human Resources Officer

Marketing/PR Officer

Fundraising/Event Team Officer

General Member Officer

Teen Advisory (Non-Voting/Age 13-19) Officer

We eagerly seek enthusiastic candidates who reside in the City of and/or Metropolitan areas of Atlanta,GA that wish to actively serve on our nonprofit board and have the following:

  • An understanding of non-profit charitable organizations
  • Proven experience working on a board, or strong desire to learn
  • Proven initiative and leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork and outstanding customer service
  • Strong commitment to empowering individuals in the community
  • The ability to meet bi-monthly virtually on Zoom the 3rd Sundays 4pm-6pm (excluding holidays)
  • Ability to invest in annual board dues of $120 OR fundraise the amount

Lady Butterflies is dedicated to the support of all women and teen girls. We offer information, support, mentoring, and advocacy to all women and teen girls who need assistance as they transition through challenges in their lives. Our social supportive services are designed to assist them through a period of transformation and empower them to move life forward, become self-directed, self-motivated, and self-confident in the process.
