Local non-profit seeking to make our communities safer and heal families is looking for volunteer case managers; no experience is necessary, we’ll train you. Must be comfortable with technology and willing to learn.
We prefer volunteers who have had some experience with the criminal justice system - a family member incarcerated, a former prisoner (with several successful years since release!), a retired correctional / LEO worker who believes in reentry, someone with a true calling to work with prisoners and their loved ones.
Case Manager activities include: processing new client applications into our case management system (Salesforce based), researching potential resources in a client’s community (using our database, internet search, and over the phone networking), matching clients with most appropriate resource, developing new resources when a needed service isn’t readily available in a given community, performing client intake assessments over the phone, corresponding with incarcerated clients, entering case notes on every client interaction or activity, providing hope filled, honest, and compassionate care for all clients - whether they are convicted felons or Loved Ones.
Volunteers without case management experience will start off slow and work their way into full case management. We also provide valuable experience and training using Google Apps, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Windows, etc.
