L.A. Works is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We strive to empower Angelenos to address pressing social issues through volunteerism & community collaborations
Position Description: MusicWorks production interns will support the planning and execution of the MusicWorks Sessions, a series of two month projects in which music students from our partner organizations will prepare for and participate in a masterclass or side-by-side concert with a guest artist. During each session, an estimate of 35 volunteers from the music and entertainment industry will support the initiative by preparing the students for the artistic experience, producing an intimate concert to showcase the collaboration and by documenting the experience in a 1-5-minute video.
Responsibilities: Engaging in planning and execution of MusicWorks sessions, outreach to nonprofits, attending site visit meetings, fostering relationships with partners from the music and entertainment industry, conducting assessments, developing creative volunteer projects, evaluating effectiveness, developing partnership packets including marketing materials and testimonials, streamlining procedures and putting in place a foundation for partnership growth, and representing L.A. Works in the field.
