Anoka County Food Shelves are growing! ACBC, NACE and SACA food shelves are in need of a volunteer driver team (about 25 people) who would deliver food from ACBC, NACE or SACA to home bound individuals who are in need of nourishment.

Volunteers deliver food, resources to homebound seniors and develop long-term relationships. Interested individuals would be assigned to a local Anoka County Food Shelf where they will pick up groceries at a pre-determined time every month to be delivered to clients in the surrounding area. Volunteers deliver food and meet with homebound adults and commnicate successes, concerns or any other information to the CAN lead after each visit. Shifts are about 2-3 hours per month and drivers are especially needed on Wednesdays. Volunteers can work individually or with friends and family in order to develop a relationship with a homebound client. Volunteers must pass a background check, attend training and have reliable transportation.
