Are you interested in improving the environment? Learning more about trees? Making a big difference in the community in just a few hours?
Friends of Trees is partnering with the Sandy River Basin Watershed Council and Friends of the Sandy River Delta with support from the US Forest Service, Ash Creek Forestry Management, PGE's Habitat Fund, Daimler, the Portland Trailblazers, and the Jubitz Foundation to continue native seedling plantings at the Sandy River Delta.
Please arrive by 8:45am to register and be assigned a crew. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am. We provide gloves and tools, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots. Breakfast refreshments and coffee / hot chocolate are provided to get everyone started on the right foot!
RSVPs are not required, you may simply show up (although we do require that you let us know if you're organizing a group larger than 5 members). Please contact Randi or Jenny at 503-595-0213 or Volunteer@FriendsofTrees.org if you have any questions or need more information. We look forward to seeing you out there!
