Did you know 1 in 5 low-income individuals in Los Angeles don't file a return and miss out on $375 million in tax credits? Families need your help.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program helps low-income individuals file their return, claim their refunds, and connect them to great services at no cost.

With more volunteers, more families can access free assistance and claim every dollar they deserve.

Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) is hosting the VITA program at our downtown LA office starting February 11. No previous experience required!!

In order to assist with the tax preparation portion of the program, you will need to take three exams:

Basic Taxes (Little Tokyo Service Center has books on site to pick up for self study)

You can access all exams with the link below:

If you would rather not take the Basic Taxes exam, you can also help with client interview and intake of forms, where you will only need to take the ethics and intake/interview tests.

We do intake/interview on Thursdays starting February 2017

Tax Prep is on Saturdays starting February 2017

Client form pick up is on Tuesdays starting February 2017
