Mitchell Animal Rescue is seeking dependable people to check the City Pound one day per week. Specific tasks include gathering the following information (except for animals that cannot be handled):
- Photograph the intake sheets,
- Photograph the animal,
- Species (dog, cat),
- Breed,
- Gender,
- Whether neutered,
- Declawed (cats only),
- General health,
- Personality/behavior,
- Tags and collar,
- Whether chipped.
Once the information is gathered, the volunteer will send out an email to the pound report distribution with a summary of the information and upload photos to the Mitchell Animal Rescue Facebook page.
We will train people who are willing to make and meet a commitment to do this task on a designated day every week. The estimated time requirement is about 2 hours each week but may be slightly more or less, depending on how many new additions are in the pound.
