CAT CARETAKING PROGRAM

We have an immediate need for caretakers for our adoptable cats on various mornings and/or evenings at the Downey PETCO. This volunteer activity involves feeding, cleaning cages and socializing (petting and playing with!) the cats during their recreation time. They will look forward to your visits, and we think you will too. Cat caretaking requires about an hour and a half to two hours per shift. You can choose one or more weekly shifts. Training is provided, we ask only that you be reliable and love felines.

Pet Assistance Foundation has been active in humane work for over 60 years. We take in owner relinquished, orphaned and abandoned pets, provide any and all medical care they need, then work together to get them healthy, happy, friendly, and ready to start their new lives. You will be part of our team, helping prepare the kitties for that wonderful moment when we find them a pet parent with a lifetime of love to give. It’s huge! Come join our group of dedicated, caring people who know beyond any doubt they are making a difference and saving lives. All it takes is a few hours a week!

To get started, please email us at petassistancefoundation@gmail.com, with "Cat Caretaker" in the subject line, and INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER, or call our office at 310-732-1230. Call or write today - the volunteers and especially the pets, NEED YOU!
