Here is a great volunteer opportunity for a group of people who wouldn't mind physical labor and moving heavy items around! You can serve your community and get some physical exercise at the same time! Volunteers are needed on Thursday, September 29th, preferably from 9 AM to 2 PM.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStores of Suburban Atlanta have been collecting donations of new and gently-used furniture, household decor, appliances and building supplies at a warehous that is part of the Bulldog Movers complex, located at 4194 Northeast Expressway (also called Frontage Road), Ste. E, Atlanta, GA 30340. We hope to give up the warehouse at the end of September.

A volunteer group of approximately 15 people is needed for around 4 or 5 hours on Thursday, September 29th, to help us clean out the warehouse. ( It is possible that individual volunteers could be accepted, if enough people sign up.) This project will involve moving furniture and pallets of other items around. Pallet jacks and dollies will be available. Volunteers should wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes, such as tennis shoes or work boots, and clothes they don't mind getting dusty and dirty!

The timing can be flexible - but preferably from 9 AM to 2 PM.

This would be an excellent group project for a men's athletic team, a fraternity, a Men's Sunday School class, a business, or similar organization! For more information, contact Mary Robeck at mrobeck@habitat.org or 770-415-1636 .
