The Charles Tallman Archives are the perfect place for anyone who enjoys solving puzzles, history, genealogy, and working with people. Archives Asscoiates help with research requests about local historical buildings, people, and work with our vast photograph and map archive to help people to discover their own history here in Rock County.
Volunteers assist with research for information requests from walk-in visitors, email inquiries, and written requests, as well as with processing accessioned materials, copying, scanning, indexing, and light housework. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Photoshop Elements, Adobe Acrobat is helpful, and additional training is available.
The Charles Tallman Archives is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday-Friday
March through December. The Archives is closed to the public during the months of January and February, but there are volunteer shifts available during that time.
