OPICA seeks an licensed RN that provides first aid when needed and at most makes recommendations to families. This position also involves mentoring RN students from local nursing colleges. OPICA is a community 'social' model. The position would be ideal for a semi-retired nurse who lives in the West Los Angeles area.
Desired requirements: experience working with age 60+ population; maintain an active RN license, recent TB clearance and active CPR and First Aid certification; be a team player willing to collaborate; able to provide leadership, create a learning environment and delegate work tasks to student nurses; strong interpersonal skills, be williing to have a Live Scan Fingerprint clearance if needed.
Hours: Must be available once a month on Thursdays and Fridays from 9am-3pm. Must be available to cover on more days if needed.

Description
OPICA is a community based, non-profit, state licensed social model adult day center. It was established in 1979 as the first adult day center in the City of Los Angeles. It is located in Stoner Park; it serves dependent, frail older adutls ages 50 and over. Although it is located in West Los Angeles, it serves tose from all over the City of Los Angeles.
