ORGANIZATION: Places for People

  • 20 people are interested

Places for People is a community-based mental health agency with a wide variety of treatment teams and programs available to those living with the greatest challenges of mental illness, substance abuse disorder, trauma, and chronic illnesses.

One of our programs, The PSRC Club, is a day program for clients which runs every day from 8am - 3pm. While here, clients can attend groups, socialize, attend GED classes (tutors needed!), exercise in the Wellness Center, and enjoy one free meal a day.

We are in need of volunteers weekdays between 9 am and 3 pm. Play cards and get to know clients, help to prepare the meal alongside experienced staff and clients alike, and give back to your community!

Volunteers must be over the age of 18, pass a background check, and have an up-to-date TB test. Cost of background check and TB test will be covered by Places for People if not current.
