Are you ready to spend a year in China using your skills in therapy? If so, this program is for you!

Volunteer for our Physical or Occupational Therapy in China program and bring immediate and lasting hope to many.

IDEAS and our in-country partner have worked in medical projects for nearly two decades, serving the poor, disabled, children, leprosy-affected and otherwise marginalized people in China. The goal is to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to those currently without. There is also the goal of helping the staff of hospitals, clinics, medical education facilities and individuals to increase their ability to supply quality care to the marginalized.

The Rehabilitation Center Project provides seeks to provide healing and hope to people with disabilities mainly through physical rehabilitation. Besides providing hands-on physical therapy, project members work together with local health education institutions and hospitals to provide training for physical/occupational therapists to help improve the quality of care offered within China’s system.

Qualified applicants will help to develop personalized treatment plans and provide therapy for patients with disabilities. This work will need to be done in Mandarin Chinese. Opportunity to study Mandarin is available onsite.
