St. Croix Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals to visit people affected by a life-limiting illness. We have several volunteer opportunities available: companionship, vigil, bereavement, and pet therapy. We also have opportunities in our office to assist us administratively. People from all over the Columbia County area are welcome to apply. Visits are scheduled at your leisure, but are typically requested by the patient to occur once a week for at least an hour. Schedules will be very flexible! Please contact us if you're interested in learning more about our program.
**Our Baraboo office serves patients in Columbia County. The address listed is for Portage City Hall and is used as a location reference point for volunteer need.**

Hospice volunteers play an essential role in the hospice experience and are valued members of the hospice team. Volunteers help to fulfill the mission of hospice by improving the quality of life for people with a life limiting illness. You may choose to contribute to the hospice experience in many ways that could include, but are not limited to: friendly visiting and companionship, healing through pet therapy, running errands for patients, supporting families through loss, or administrative assistance in the office.
Your helpful Volunteer Coordinator at St. Croix Hospice will guide you through the necessary volunteer training to assure your success and confidence working with patients, families, and caregivers in this field.
At St. Croix Hospice, care and comfort are tailored to the unique preferences of our patients, families, and primary caregivers. We individualize care to ensure it is provided in a way that brings dignity, respect, and compassion to all those we serve.
