Volunteer Today!
Join us in making a difference in the lives of local girls everyday.

Be the role model she'll remember forever.

As a volunteer, you’ll introduce girls to new experiences-and show them they’re capable of more than they ever imagined.

You’ll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop skills and confidence that will last a lifetime. Imagine the smiles, the excitement, the memories made-those are the moments you’ll share as a Girl Scout volunteer.

Join the fun!

With the guidance and support of a volunteer, Girl Scouts can go as far as their imaginations will take them-and you can be there, right by their side.

When you volunteer, you will help girls:

  • Discover a world full of fun experiences and new activities
  • Build confidence and make a whole bunch of new friends
  • Explore interests and learn new skills in a safe, all-girl environment

You'll not only be the role model who gets to show her something new, you’ll also get to share in all those memorable moments.

Check out what caregivers and volunteers have to say about volunteering with Girl Scouts:

  • Ninety-five percent of volunteers say they make girls’ lives better at Girl Scouts (and that makes them happy).
  • Eighty-eight percent of Girl Scout volunteers say their volunteer experience with us makes their life better.
  • Two-thirds of volunteers say Girl Scouts has helped them professionally.

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
