The Connecticut Sports Management Group, Inc. is proud to announce the 4th Annual ShopRite Nutmeg State Games Holiday Festival. The Holiday Festival offers a three day Basketball Tournament for 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls travel teams.
The Holiday Festival is intended to serve as a competitive measuring experience for those youngsters who wish to compete with and against the very best young players in their respective age groups. Each team will play a minimum of three games and the winners in each division will be recognized as Holiday Tournament Champions and receive appropriate awards.
We are looking for two sections of volunteers. Medical Staff volunteers will be present in case of any injury or other health related concern of a player during a game. We also are looking for volunteers to help run the shot clock, scoreboard, etc.

Mission Statement
The Nutmeg State Games is the largest amateur multi-sport sporting event in Connecticut. Now celebrating it’s 27th Anniversary of uniting Connecticut’s residents in the common bond of amateur sport and Olympic spirit. T-shirts and medals will be given out accordingly, details below. In 2012, 6000+ athletes ages 6 to 18 will compete in 25+ different sport offerings. The "Games" represent an outstanding opportunity for local and national businesses to help support "Good Kids Making Good Choices!"

What does it take to host an event like the Nutmeg State Games, Connecticut's largest Sports Festival? It takes, of course, the VOLUNTEER! The volunteer is the cornerstone to the success of the Nutmeg State Games.The Nutmeg State Games would not be able to operate efficiently without the services of hundreds of volunteers that have loyally served for the past twenty-two years. Every year, the Nutmeg State Games needs the assistance of volunteers to help run our events.
Volunteers range from: Game Administrators, Registration Guides, Scorers, Timers, and Awards AssistantsVolunteers can pick the area and sport they would like to be involved with. You can view the Individual Sport Schedule and the Team Sport Schedule to see which is better for you. Volunteers who devote a mere four hours of their time will receive a Nutmeg State Games Event Staff t-shirt. In addition, you’ll receive the satisfaction of knowing you were an integral part of making the Nutmeg State Games a success!
