YFE is a non profit organization that hosts various youth programs that support middle school students in academic support, college readiness and fitness development. Our Falcon Basketball program at the Benjamin Franklin Intermediate School is one aspect of our organization that we use to positvely impact youth in the community.

The Falcon Basketball program is seeking volunteer coaches for our school youth teams. Coaching commitment is typically two practices/week and then 1 game on Friday Night or Saturday. Most games are Saturday mornings. Games are located at loca Daly City basketball gyms. If you are looking to work with a group of dedicated youth and help to develop their basketball skills to play in high level competition events we would love to have you on board.

The season goes from January - March.

Coaching opportunities include the following teams

6th Grade boys

6th Grade Girls

7th Grade Boys

7th Grade Girls

8th Grade Boys

8th Grade Girls

Practices times can be from 3:00pm - 9:00pm depending on coaches availability and gym time availability. Practices are 90 minutes.

Recommended: At least experience of playing high school and/or college sports and a desire and commitment to coach youth sports. Basketball specific experience a plus. Detailed knowledge of the game of basketball and experience working with youth is also a plus.

Must have clean background investigation.

Must Complete the USA Baskebtall Coaches training and background checl.
