This is an entrance view of our photo gallery and exhibit space.

Looking for volunteers to open the gallery between the hours of 11 AM and 2 PM Mondays - Fridays. The volunteers will open the gates and sit at a desk to greet patrons, answer questions about the photo exhibit, and sign up new memebers.

Also looking for volunteers to put up and take down gallery shows.

Looking for an assitant director to help in fundraising and gallery management.

Volunteers get free parking in the Tower Square Garage when they are working and can enter their photographs in our Open Submission Shows for free.

Our mission is to share information about the art and science of photography and to educate our members and the general public to bring about a greater appreciation for the art of photography in the valley with an emphasis on the urban communities.

Description

The Valley Photo Center is a 501c3 not for profit corporation located on the mezzanine level of Tower Square at 1500 Main St. in Springfield MA. All of our gallery exhibits, receptions, and noon time programs are open to the general public and are free.

We need people to open the Gallery is open Monday through Friday 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM during the exhibition season from September through June. Volunteer will open the gallery, turn on the lights, greet and record visitors, act as a docent, and close gallery and return key at the end of the shift. You can volunteer to work as little or often as you would like, schedules are made up on a monthly basis.
