Pet Therapy Volunteers at Ascend Hospice
Ascend Hospice provides patients, with a life limiting condition, the opportunity to live life more fully with control, comfort, and dignity. Volunteers are important members of our hospice team and we are currently seeking certified Pet Therapist to make visits with the patients and families on our service.
If you don’t have a certified animal, but would like to work with pets, please contact us to learn more about our Pet Peace of Mind program at Ascend Hospice.
Hospice volunteer training is required for pet owner and provided free of charge. In keeping with Medicare requirements background, DMV, and medical clearances are a part of the training process. All volunteers must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
