Do you have marketing/marketing education experience? Enjoy helping entrepreneurs identify their target customers, understand their customer needs and meet those needs? Then this opportunity is for you! We are looking for mentors with both traditional and online marketing experience.

SCORE provides mentoring to small businesses and startups. You can choose to work with other mentors, or go solo. This opportunity provides flexibility, as you schedule your meetings with the client at a mutually agreeable time. Requires 10 years of marketing experience and location in NE Wisconsin. Volunteer 12 hours per month.

Description

SCORE is dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow and succeed nationwide through volunteer mentors offering free and confidential small business advice. SCORE is a nonprofit resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and has been mentoring small business owners for nearly 60 years. A network of over 255 SCORE offices across the country with 10,000 volunteers offer free, confidential business mentoring and low- or no-cost workshops.

For over half a decade, SCORE's thousands of working and retired business professionals, representing 62 industries, have volunteered their knowledge, expertise and experience to support the success of small business nationwide. More than 4.65 million hours of expertise and advice were donated by SCORE volunteers in 2022! SCORE provides:

  • Free, confidential business mentoring in person, via email or by video
  • Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across industries
  • Free business tools, templates and tips online
  • Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)
SCORE Fox Cities is located in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin and represents 8 counties in the area: Calumet, Green Lake, Fond du Lac, Marquette, Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago.
