You’re a creative and passionate person, why not use your talents to give back to the community! I am looking for people to teach us how to knit or crochet for a "Giving Tree" There are so many benefits to donating your knitting and crochet work to charity. Aside from helping others in need, it also gives knitters and crocheters a chance to be more involved by discovering new volunteer opportunities.

Crocheting and knitting for charity is also a great time to learn a new skill. Whether you’re planning to crochet a blanket or knit a hat, you can find a pattern that challenges you, freeing two birds with one key by learning a new skill while simultaneously helping someone in need.

Come help us, help others!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to serve seniors by enriching their physical, emotional and spiritual health in a nurturing environment. Bethesda Senior Living Communities will serve others and our communities by sharing God’s love through care, advocacy, respect and virtuous business practices. Our vision is to expand Bethesda Senior Living Communities’ outreach and service to as many communities as God wills through expansion, acquisition, management contracts, and programming. Our original "Care with a gentle touch" theme hasn’t changed. Smiles and hugs are plentiful as the tradition of sharing God’s love with the world continues.

Description

Bethesda enriches lives through SERVICE. Since 1959, Bethesda Senior Living Communities have been meeting the needs of our aging population. Tradition, family and roots; they all contribute to our sense of well-being and belonging. With a national reputation as an industry leader for skilled nursing, it was natural for Bethesda Foundation to continue offering senior care with excellence. While the focus today is redirected from skilled care to independent and assisted living, our passion hasn’t changed. We are still providing quality service to the elderly in our communities while generating surplus to reach out to those who live in poverty worldwide. This has been Bethesda’s vision from its inception.

With growing health concerns on the minds of an aging population, we are committed to serve to the best of our ability by taking on a larger segment of the health care population through the introduction of a resident-centered model of long-term care. Since 1992, Bethesda Foundation has grown to own and operate 17 independent and assisted living communities in 6 states, and currently has plans on the drawing board for many more. By partnering with other quality people and organizations, we’ll continue to build on the excellence we’ve offered for the past five decades.
