The training for the Fall semester of the Opening Minds through Art program at Cedar Village will be held on September 9th and 16th. The sessions with the residents will begin on September 23rd. All sessions will be held on Friday mornings. Volunteers must attend the training prior to the beginning of the semester. This is a wonderful program which pairs a volunteer with one resident for the semester. No prior art knowledge or expertise is required. It’s about the relationship between you and a resident with dementia. Training is provided. Please email if you are interested and would like further details.

Cedar Village is a not-for-profit retirement community, located in Mason, Ohio. We offer a wide range of services, including our 162-bed Medicare and Medicaid certified Health Care Center which features a specialized dementia care unit and a skilled rehabilitation center.
