Did you know that 1 in 6 people struggles with hunger? Mitzvah Circle Foundation needs volunteers to help pack and deliver baked goods from grocery stores and bakeries to local shelters and food pantries. This food is badly needed, but will go to waste without our help!
We have openings on Thursday afternoons (5:00) to transport baked goods from a King of Prussia bakery to a Norristown food pantry. This commitment typically takes less than an hour. We need a few additional drivers and helpers. Each driver should have at least a mid-sized vehicle, and be willing to drive baked goods from King of Prussia to Norristown once a month. You need to be able to lift about 20 pounds at a time to help pack and load the bread. Volunteers at the food pantry generally unload for you. You simply need to commit to being reliably on time, once a month.
Mitzvah Circle Foundation helps vulnerable people right in our own communities. We help those who are homeless, underserved and who fall through the cracks of traditional services. We cut through red tape to get essential items into the hands of those who need them.
