The School Volunteer Association of Bridgeport is seeking volunteers for the new Cross Reading Pals program. Volunteers will provide one-on-one reading attention to 1st grade students for one hour weekly to help them develop their literacy skills along with a love of reading and books. The School Volunteer Association of Bridgeport, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides volunteer services to Bridgeport's Public Schools. The School Volunteer Association recruits, trains and places volunteers and also raises funds to support programs for city students.
