Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) is launching a college center in Lincoln with a partnership between North Star High School and Nebraska Wesleyan University. BHGH has been extremely successful in other locations around the US and internationally in helping highly motivated, underprivileged youth get to and through college. Since 1991 100% of our scholars have gone on to college and 94% of them have graduated from college.
We are seeking members to be a part of our Circle of Hope committee. Our Circle of Hope committee will be a network of community volunteers who lend their skills, talents, and expertise to enhance the delivery of the Hope College Center program. As a Circle of Hope member, there will be quarterly meetings to discuss overall development of scholars, discuss acceptance and dismissal to and from the program, and conduct an annual review and recommendations for the center. Past the quarterly meetings, your contribution is up to you. This contribution could be tutoring or mentoring or it could simply be helping connect us to others in the community. Our Circle of Hope members will be our representatives to the community and help build new relationships.

The Center provides an academically oriented program that focuses on intellectual development leading to educational success. In consideration of the full spectrum of human growth, the service model also includes attention to physical, social and emotional competencies that support achievement grade-to-grade through college, and into family-sustaining careers and productive adulthood.
The Boys Hope Girls Hope program model has proven successful. Since 1991, 100% of Boys Hope Girls Hope graduates in 15 U.S. cities have gone on to college. As of 2014, 94% of Boys Hope Girls Hope collegians nationwide remain enrolled in college each year, and 86% continue their studies to degree completion. By contrast, the national average of collegians with similar demographic backgrounds who will successfully complete college is below 45%. With a proven ability to impact student outcomes, Boys Hope Girls Hope’s "College Road" program was recognized by the Educational Policy Institute in 2012 as one of the top ten college support programs for disadvantaged youth in the United States.
