Assist with continuing improving patient access at Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center

Time Requirements:

Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.- Noon, Noon- 4:30 p.m.

Specific Duties:

Communicate daily with nursing services

Scan and retrieve wheel chairs from all entrances into the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center (CNVAMC)

Scan and retrieve wheel chairs from all floors

Keep a log of each damaged wheel chair

Store all wheel chairs at end of shift in designated locations

On the spot wheelchair repairs (Tighten Brakes, Tag Chairs which need to go to for further repair or destruction, bring chairs in from the parking lot, and redistribute chairs throughout the medical center.

Transport wheelchairs to designated area on the first floor

Qualifications & Training Required:

Strong interpersonal communication skills necessary to deal effectively with general public

Very handy with equipment and tools

Ability to handle multiple task

Ability to compile and maintain routine activity reports
