Spay and Neuter Kansas City - Families Better TogetherTM is currently seeking skill-anthropists to help our agency fulfill a variety of roles! Spay and Neuter Kansas City is the only targeted spay/neuter program in the Greater Kansas City area working to help all families in need regardless of financial means. Our unique approach is to provide exceptional customer service and high standards of care through commitment to our core values. Our mission is to decrease pet homelessness, increase pet retention and improve the quality of life for pets through education and supportive services for families in need.

In just six hours time, you can help improve the lives of hundreds of families and pets in your community. Promoting responsible pet ownership, pet retention and the importance of spay neuter can help prevent thousands of unwanted litters and homeless pets in Kansas City.

Six hours could be:

    • Working in our Pet Food Pantry helping feed hundreds of pets each day
    • Spent with our Community Ambassador Team sharing information and resources with members of our community who may not know that there is someone willing to help them provide for their animals
    • Assisting in our Wellness Care Clinic helping many animals receive the preventative pet health care they need to love long and happy lives
    • Spent with our T-N-R Team safely and humanely trapping community feral cats for spay neuter and vaccination services to help stabilize the feral cat population in Kansas City
    • Served as an Event Ambassador educating the general public on the low-cost services and community programs that are available to them

Our civic engagement platform allows people to develop and strengthen new skills. Our volunteers are encouraged to engage in personal growth, new learning objectives and new experiences. We equip volunteers to lead others, to be the voice for their community, and to be the momentum for powerful civic change. We have a variety of opportunities that cater to a variety of interests and skills.

Pet Resource Center of Kansas City is a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 2002. We're the only targeted spay neuter program in the Greater Kansas City area, working to help all families in need regardless of financial means. Our unique approach provides exceptional customer service and high standards of care through commitment to our core values.

We educate and assist families to improve their pet's quality of life, increase the animal-human-bond and make long term positive impacts in our community and animal welfare.

We pride ourselves in acknowledging our diverse community with a non-judgmental and compassionate approach. Our programs target families who need assistance with education, wellness, and resources to help their pets live a long, healthy and happy life.
