The Community Outreach Intern will spearhead our NeighborCorps campaign as part of our four­point plan to build a No Kill Asheville. Duties will include coordinating community canvassing efforts, overseeing and training canvassing captains and teams, as well as, managing and distributing information about needs in the community. Efforts will help identify issues with pets people are having and connect them to resources available at Brother Wolf to keep animals happy and healthy and in their homes, and out of the shelter system. Ideal candidate will be an outgoing people­person who loves helping people and animals. Background in training, leadership, political or sales canvassing helpful.

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be available two Saturday mornings per month
  • Dependable & Flexible
  • Be able to work independently following established protocols
  • Must have personal laptop
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office programs, and have internet access
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking/training
