Habitat's ReStore works on deconstruction sites sporadically throughout the year. Deconstruction events happen when a property is scheduled to be demolished and the owner would like to donate their home materials to Habitat.
We are looking for more volunteers to lead these deconstruction opportunities. The leader goes to the event and helps get everyone started for the day, and assists throughout the event.
ReStore will be happy to train any new deconstruction leaders with the knowledge you will need to confidently run these projects. Still feeling a bit unsure as to what deconstructions are? Join us on one of the projects to see what it's all about.
For anyone interested please contact Leah Brudno, ReStore Volunteer Coordinator at lbrudno@habitatmidohio.org.

Mission Statement
To work in partnership with God and people to build houses, empower families and develop communities.
Description
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), and the Central Ohio Affiliate, is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat affiliates work locally in communities around the world to select and support homeowners, organize volunteers, and coordinate house building.
Supporting Habitat for Humanity - MidOhio is Habitat’s ReStore, a retail outlet that accepts and re-sells reusable home improvement materials to the general public. Revenue from sales directly offsets Habitat’s administrative costs and assists in both eliminating substandard housing and creating homeownership in Central Ohio.
