Are you interested in helping the environment? Learning more about trees? Making a big difference in the community in just a few hours? Join the work party at Columbia Children’s Arboretum to plant native trees and shrubs and remove invasive species including Himalayan Blackberry and English Ivy! All are welcome, no experience needed!

Please arrive by 8: 45am to register and be assigned a crew. The planting starts promptly at 9:00am. We provide gloves and tools, so all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes or boots. Breakfast refreshments and coffee / hot chocolate are provided to get everyone started on the right foot!

RSVPs are not required, you may simply show up (although we do require that you let us know if you're organizing a group larger than 5 members). Please contact Randi or Jenny at 503-595-0213 or if you have any questions or need more information. We look forward to seeing you out there!

Friends of trees is excited to partner with Portland OIC, Portland Parks & Recreation, the Columbia Slough Watershed Council, and Friends of the Columbia Children's Arboretum with support from the Port of Portland, Metro, and East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District to restore a part of one of NE Portland's "hidden gems": the Columbia Children's Arboretum.
