ORGANIZATION: Learning Ally Athens Studio

At Learning Ally, we use volunteers to create audio versions of textbooks for people with print disabilities; the disabilities can be caused by blindness or other vision impairment, or by learning differences like dyslexia. Every file that is recorded needs to be checked for accuracy by another volunteer. If you like listening to audiobooks and are detail-oriented, this is the volunteer opportunity for you!

As a Checker, you will listen to previously-recorded files, leaving notes for the Readers so they can make edits as needed. All training is provided.

Mission Statement

Promote personal achievement when access and reading are barriers to learning by advancing the use of accessible and effective educational solutions.

Description
