Join the board of Pets Are Like Family to help us plan, organize and lead the organization's various programs that help northwest side pet families with limited resources care for their pets. We help educate pet parents, provide pet food and supplies, provide financial assistance and give out referrals for pet services. The board of directors currently has several openings for:
- Director of Education
- Director of Community Outreach
- Director of Client Services
- Director of Fundraising
- Director of PR and Marketing
Board members meet together once a month for 1- 2 hours for program planning and development and overall management of the organization. Directors will also be asked to stay in weekly contact by emails and phone calls to accomplish their tasks. All directors will be responsible for assisting with fundraising and outreach. Time commitment is 5 - 10 hours a month with a one year commitment. Board member candidates serve a 3 month probationary period first to see if the organization is a good fit.
Prior board experience is a plus but not a requirement. Volunteer or work experience in the area of the position sought is highly desired. Ability to communicate effectively and follow through on commitments in a timely manner a must.
Come help us help pets and their families live happier, healthier lives!
