About

What if you couldn't carry your own groceries? Wash your own dishes? Hundreds of low-income elders and people with disabilites in King County cannot do these things and because they don't qualify for state aid and cannot afford to hire someone to assist them, they need the help of caring volunteers in order to stay in their homes or apartments. Be their safety net.

It's amazing what just a few hours a month can mean to an elderly member of the community, most of whom do not have any family or friends in the area to help them.

Volunteers can provide assistance with light housecleaning, transportation, grocery shopping, home repair and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.

Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteers must complete an application form, pass a Washington State Patrol check and attend an orientation

For more information about this opportunity or others, Please select the "I Want to Help" button. An email will be sent to you with additional information regarding our program and the application forms. We are looking for volunteers throughout the county, but we have an especially large need in South King County. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
