Wesley Family Services' volunteer-assisted services are seeking volunteers in the Penn Hills/Plum/Verona/Monroeville areas.

We are in need of caring volunteers assist older adults (aged 60 ) in a variety of ways:

• Grocery shopping - pick up a few extra items during your regular shopping trip and deliver them to a care receiver, or take a senior along with you to the store.
• Deliver food boxes from local food pantries (evenings and weekends available!)

Many seniors are not able to shop for themselves and need a little more assistance due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

About our program: You can volunteer once a week or once a month and spend a half hour or a few hours delivering much needed groceries and supplies to those that can't shop for themselves. Volunteers can choose what neighborhoods they'll deliver to or be assigned those most in need. We also have opportunities to deliver from local food pantries or to help with curbside pickups at grocery stores across the county.

Wesley Family Services is a social service and social care agency serving southwestern PA. Our volunteer-assisted services in the community are supported primarily by our funding partner: The United Way. We've been supporting seniors for over 25 years and are currently providing services with COVID-19 safety measures.

This volunteer position is only open to residents of Pennsylvania.

All volunteers must complete the PA Criminal History clearance (PATCH), which is free for volunteers. We are not able to accept volunteers who do not have a recent background check.
