GMHC serves lunch Monday through Thursday and dinner on Friday evening, providing our HIV+ clients with a warm, friendly atmosphere where they can receive nutritious meals and have an opportunity for social interaction. Volunteers are an essential part of our dining room, helping us serve meals to 350 clients each day.
Responsibilities include: serving food, assisting disabled clients, clearing trays, cleaning dishes, scrubbing pots, etc. We also have opportunities in food preparation.
Available shifts:
- Monday through Thursday, 11:30am-3:30pm
- Friday, 4:30pm-8:30pm

We provide HIV and STI testing, food and nutrition programs, housing support, workforce development, legal assistance, advocacy for benefits and health insurance, mental health and emotional support, substance use counseling, and more.
