Challah for Hunger operates on 80+ college campuses nationwide as well as with community groups in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. In Philadelphia, Challah for Hunger has expanded beyond the college campus to engage teens, adults with different abilities, and families with young children through our Social Change Bakery Network.
The Social Change Bakery Network is a consortium of nine community groups where we educate participants about food insecurity through challah making, and sell the challah to raise money for local hunger relief non-profits. Our mission is to build communities inspired and equipped to take action against hunger.

Repair the World Philadelphia was founded in 2013 to mobilize Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world, igniting a lifelong commitment to service. Philly Repair addresses pressing local needs through service, learning, and reflection grounded in Jewish values. Philly Repair strives to build deep relationships with local organizations, partners, and neighbors to amplify local voices, deepen the impact of service, and create a more equitable Philadelphia for all residents.
Description
Repair the World is a national Jewish nonprofit, based in New York City. Founded in 2009, Repair believes service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. By 2030, Repair will inspire and catalyze one million acts of service towards repairing the world.
