We need foster homes for litters of puppies and adult dogs. Close proximity to our vet in Springhill, LA is preferable or ability to transport there for vetting as needed. You supply the secure area in your home (non carpeted floor preferred for ease of cleaning) and we provide the food and vet care. Committment time period is generally 4-12 weeks dependent on age and needs of dogs/puppies. If you have other animals in your home it is ideal if you have a separate area/room to foster in. The dogs we take in could be healthy when they are placed but it is common for animals coming from a shelter or unknown origins to be harboring a virus that could break out once entering their new environment. These dogs will need hands on for socialization in the beginning of their lives in order to make great pets. We also have several adults that would love a spot in foster to undergo their heartworm treatment.
