One way through which Homeless Gear distributes gear is through a Gear Room at the Murphy Center for Hope (the Murphy Center for Hope is a resource center in Larimer County for people who are homeless or near-homeless).
Volunteers typically commit to one shift per week. The Gear Room is open M, W, & F between 9am and 11am, so volunteers typically arrive around 8:45am.
Volunteers greet guests, distribute gear, deliver resource information (when applicable), prepare a list of needed gear, and more.
If you're looking for a regular and direct service opportunity, this is a great way to get involved.
