The Glenner Memory Care Center is a Day Care / Day Activity Program for seniors with Alzheimer's Disease and other forms of dementia.
Every year, we celebrate on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving with a wonderful celebration that includes a full Thanksgiving Dinner for about 100 people, including our participants and their families. And every year, we need help decorating for the big event. We need a handful of people to help hang balloons, banners, and streamers, and to set tables, and just help make the place festive for the celebration.
If you enjoy decorating and would like to help make this a beautiful event for our seniors and their families, please contact me. It will only take an hour of your time, and will put a smile on a lot of faces.

Mission Statement
Glenner Alzheimer's Family Center serves families and people coping with Alzheimer's disease. We are an adult day care center open Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm. Our center offers stimulating programs appropriate fro those with AD such as music, arts and crafts, exercise, pet therapy, games, etc. Our program allows people with AD to live at home with their families as long as possible. We area small center, licensed to have 24 participants here at a time, and we offer a 5:1 patient to staff ratio which allows us to really know our participants. We love having people and organizations from the community come in and share their talents and passions with our participants. Along with our day care program, we also offer a support group for family members every Wednesday afternoon.
Description
Our program offers respite for family members who need to go about the everyday business of their lives secure in the knowledge that their loved ones are safe and happy. Our day to day business, though, is providing our participants with stimulating activities and the opportunity for social interaction; in other words, we do our best to make sure they have fun while they are with us.
