Austin Free-Net Operations Volunteer
Austin Free-Net exists to provide technology training and access to the community, fostering skills that enable people to succeed in the digital age, and we need your help! As the Austin Free-Net Operations Volunteer you will provide an impactful first impression on our diverse guests, while helping to develop new, creative, approaches to operational challenges. Examples include designing a system for front office hosts to communicate office happenings, and improving the front office standard operating procedure.
You will receive extensive intercultural experience and be able to develop and utilize communication and leadership skills. You will receive professional training before your placement as well as consistent support from staff. Most importantly you will be making a difference in the lives of individuals and families in the community.

Austin Free-Net is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been working to bridge the Digital Divide in the Austin area since 1995.
What we doFree Adult Computer Training:
- Students get help learning computer basics by achieving the goals they set for themselves
Access:
- Free computer centers at multiple sites in Austin
- More than 100 computer stations
- An average of 100,000 computer user sessions per year
Support:
- Low-cost technical support for small nonprofit organizations
- Computer labs available free for nonprofit events/classes
- An average of more than 40 volunteer opportunities and 1,300 volunteer hours per year
