Kindred Hospice

Hospice patients can be found in nursing homes, assisted living, group homes, or their own homes. San Diego North County volunteers are greatly needed. We have patients and families that need a volunteer to provide support. We have patients in Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Poway, and Escondido. Be a companion, hold a hand, read quietly and provide someone at end of life with care and compassion. Give a caregiver a moment to rest or refresh. This is a truly treasured gift and often allows family to take a small needed break. If you have a talent or hobby you want to share, please do! If you are interested in giving your time to someone at end of life and want to learn more about the final journey, please contact us. We provide the training and ongoing education. Be a part of the team. Interview, background check and urine drug screen along with a tuberculin screening are provided by Kindred Hospice.
Training takes place at our Balboa office, but volunteers are assigned patients close to home.
