Enthusiastic, energetic volunteer needed to assist in the planning of the agency's annual fundraising event: The Walk to Remember. (All money raised goes towards aiding the patients and their families that we serve). Bring your ideas and creativity and work with our Development and Communications teams to help create the next successful event. Prior event planning experience helpful but not necessary.

Only 4 hours of volunteer education is needed prior to getting started, plus TB test and passing a criminal background check (all paid for by agency).

Hospice of the Western Resreve provides palliative end-of-life care, caregiver support, and bereavement services throughout Northern Ohio. In celebration of the individual worth of each life, we strive to relieve suffering, enhance comfort, promote quality of life, foster choice in end-of-life care and support effective grieving.

Description

Hospice of the Western Reserve provides care for patients where ever they call home, whether that be at home, in a nursing home, assisted living, one of our inpatient units, or in a hospital. Care is provided regardless of ability to pay. We use a team approach where volunteers are of equal importance to all other members of the team.

Hospice of the Western Reserve serves Northern Ohio with offices in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Stark, and Summit counties.
