PHS Hospice Needs Volunteers to provide important services to hospice patients we serve. Volunteers are needed for administrative assistance in the office, offering companionship to a person in the final months and weeks of life, offering support to family members and caregivers, sewing memory bears for families. Volunteers are essential to the important work provided by our nation’s hospice programs. Every hospice relies on volunteer support to provide excellent end-of-life care to each patient and family. By being a hospice volunteer, you can gain great personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made an impact in another person’s life.
The current opportunities that we are looking for are friendly patient visits, seamstress to sew memory bears, and in office administrative duties.

OVERVIEW
PHS Hospice Care is a life-affirming program that promotes the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of patients with life-limiting illnesses, along with that of the caregivers and family members of the patients. We are an interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers offering supportive services which maximize the patient’s comfort, quality of life and autonomy. PHS Hospice Care is available for assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
